So I just happened to remember the password to this account, I am going to try to keep up with it more often... I am still crochet'ing and now I am going to school and working too... What's fun though is because I work the 3rd shift hours, I get to crochet while I am at work!! So yeah I am pretty happy about that! Anyhow, I am working on this afghan called Wool Eater.. You can find the pattern here -

That's what my version looks like so far! I am going to have it look rainbow like! I will post progress pics as I go along! I needed to make me a new spring time blanket and I thought now would be a perfect time to get it done! Yay! Anyhow, I guess that's all I have to say! I will try to keep posting more!

Tuscan Stitch

Today I learned how to do this stitch called the Tuscan stitch. It's basically called the "afghan stitch" and they make these really long crochet hooks... I need to find one... because now I want to make a tuscan afghan... LOL But seriously, this is a pretty cool stitch.. It reminds me of the "pearl" techniche from knitting... I wonder if there is a "knit" version of this? I shall have to ask the lady whom does the tutorials... Which btw you can find here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T-BNjg1OWI if you want to learn to do it for yourself.

As always please leave a comment and tell me what you think or how I am doing! I am new to blog writing so please excuse the newbieness of how I write... LOL Anyhow have a great day everybody! I will keep you updated on my Cathrine's Wheel afghan. Im just taking a break from it right now and playing around with other tutorials.

I am working on a new afghan today. This one is from a pattern called Cathrine's Wheel. I've just started on working on this one, so I don't have that many pics of it right now. I will take more pics as I go along to show you how it turns out. I hope it will turn out alright, Im usuing colors I wouldn't normally have picked. My friend Mariah picked the colors actually. I wanted to use up my orange yarn, and I didnt know what color to put with it, and she picked turquoise and white. Well I decided to use off white instead of white, because I need to use that color up too. But anyways thats what I got on it so far. please feel free to comment on what you think about it! I hope you comment soon!!

Well I finally finished the kittens blanket! It was an all day project, I'll give it at that! But in the end, I think it turned out lovely!! Please leave comments on what you think of it! I gave it a nice shell edging with the light green, so it looks more elegant. ^___^

So today I am working on a new afghan for my bff whom just found out she is now pregnant! Her and her husband has been trying to have a baby for a while now, but now she's finally going to get one, Im so happy for her!

Anyhow, with that said, this is an abstract kitten blanket, I got the tutorial from this youtube site - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG5dt2dPYsY which was super easy to do. My problem is with tension.. So later after I finish this first afghan, I am going to make another one with the same pattern just different colors, and try it again. I am actually almost done with it, I am just posting progress pictures as I go along. ^___^ When I am completely done with the blanket I will post a new blog with the finished product so you can see how it turned out.

Well this is my first blog! Im really excited!! Im gonna share my crochet creations here for you guys to view!! And to start off I will post my latest afghan!! I used Redhart brand yarn, 4 ply count and a size I hook. There are a total of 35 squares done like this, and the small single crochet border that is after the 4th row, I did a drop stitch, in the center part of the sides. Basically once you do your corner you start from the corner of your granny square, and you count 4 spaces and then do the drop stitch so its down 2 rows and then keep going like you normally do. its really pretty, and a simple pattern. I used 3 colors, dark red, brown, and cream, and a varigated color that had all the colors in it that coordinate. Please leave comments and if you make an afghan like mine please feel free to share appreciation photos!.
